Born and raised in Cochabamba, Bolivia, Paulo Daniel Jimenez started playing drums at the age of 15. Listening to his brothers records of Guns N Roses and Dream Theater, his first beats were self-taught . Along with his brothers they started playing in a band called Karma. With this band, Daniel got the opportunity to play the official Tribute to Scorpions in Bolivia, and also to play in the Felix Capriles Stadium in a music festival.
Later on, Daniel was awarded a music scholarship to the Junior Jazz Master summer camp at the University of Miami. Daniel has toured Bolivia with different groups and he has also toured Chile with the folk group Chuchusmuty. Once he graduated, he found that Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD met his expectations as an outstanding Music Education program, and he began his studies there as a percussion major in the fall of 2014.
